Greatest Love Story Ever.

I am usually intrigued by love and love acts. I saw this Easter in a different light and I was awestruck by the very essence of it, God’s Love.

Please do not assume Jesus did not have feelings, I want you to think about all I am about to share.

How can a king on the throne in heaven decide to come to earth in the form of man? The situation surrounding his birth seems difficult for some to accept. His act during his 33years on earth serves as the greatest example and gold standard for everyone on earth.

Christ came to die, to save sinners, to save that which was lost, for the resurrection of the dead, to undo the works of the devil, so the Holy Spirit can abide, to fulfill the law, to reveal the hidden wisdom and words of God, to build a new spiritual city and to divide.

He was love, understanding, healer, friend, kind, hope, faith, good, gentle, perfect, patient, beautiful and blameless, without sin yet, he choose to pay for our sins before we met him! Selah.
He was love inside out, no greater love have I seen that a man gave his life for me before I met Him; He chose to pay my debt on the cross even before I incurred it. His only offence was love…

There have been and are still great prophets and mighty men of God but Jesus was different in that He died and rose again. His death brought grace and salvation. If an offence is committed, you have to serve punishment or pay for what you did wrong and I am sure we have all done something wrong before. In the Old Testament, the blood of animals was used for the remission of sin but Christ came to shed his blood so we do not have to kill animals for remission of sin. The bible says that in him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace. (NKJV Ephesians 1:7)

Jesus death shows how much your forgiveness cost and how much God values and loves you. How much are you worth? Jesus says, with his arms wide open on the cross, “I am willing to die for you, because you mean this much to me”.

Let us continue to walk in God’s love, share the story of God’s Love in your actions and words to that brother or sister that was the baton that was passed to us to propagate the kingdom of God on earth until the day he would come to collect us all.

Hallelujah! Its resurrection morning. He rose! Christ is alive! Greatest love story ever told.
