Open Letter To You.

Dear Perry’s Tots Family,

Happy new year again to you. How are you all doing and how has 2016 been so far? I just want to quickly share a story with you before I go back to my books, exams are knocking.

I want to share the story of the life of an eagle, I was told and I thought of you. I have to share it here.

Eagles are great birds and they only fly with fellow eagles. In 2016, mingle with people of like passion, if someone isn’t adding to you in any way and you’re not adding to the person, why remain friends?

Eagles have strong visions, they are not easily distracted. In 2016, stay focused, be consistent, it will work out for your good that which your hands find to do.

Eagles don’t feed on dead prey. In 2016, whichever this applies to you, apply it; whether it’s weight loss or what you feed your eyes, spirit, soul or mind. Be like the eagle.

The eagle loves storms, it uses the wings of the storm to rise and push itself higher. In 2016, every storm will work for your promotion, don’t pray it away.

Eagles test before they trust. Test before you trust in 2016, whether you want to go into a relationship or business partnership.

Eagles prepare for change. In 2016, let it not be heard of you that it is business as usual. Surprise yourself, the comfort zone is your enemy.

The eagle is born with a life span of about  seventy years, but to reach this age, the eagle must make a destiny defining decision. In its forties its long and flexible talons can no longer grab prey which serves as food, its long and sharp beak becomes bent, its old-aged and heavy wings, due to their thick feathers, become stuck to its chest and make it difficult to fly. The eagle is left with only two options:
Die or go through a painful process of change which lasts three months. The process requires that the eagle fly to a mountaintop and sit on its nest.

There the eagle knocks its beak against a rock until it plucks it out. After plucking it out, the eagle will wait for a new beak to grow back and then it will pluck out its talons. When its new talons grow back, the eagle starts plucking its old-aged feathers, after five months, the eagle takes its famous flight of rebirth and lives for 30 more years. Wow!
In 2016, embrace growth no matter how painful it might seem, move out of your comfort zone, yesterday ended last night, it’s a new dawn. Let’s get to work and trust God!
Love me with prayers.

  1. You don’t know what you just did with this post so I’m going to go ahead and tell you…. You’ve just inspired one more person. Thank You.

Every bullet point you made brought a sort of admiration, and I’d like that for myself.

And you had to put those verses. The Bible passage is comforting in all ways!

  2. Whao Adepero… This totally blew me away, though have read about the eagle this is different and more relational. By God’s grace i’ll be a doer and not just a reader deceiving myself.

  3. I’m inspired. Positive change requires painful but destiny altering decisions. God bless you ma’am
