Day 20: Habeeb

It is a privilege to be featured on Perry’s Tots and I really appreciate it.

So the year 2017, I would say was a year of mixed feelings, experiences and challenges. I started the year with a call in radiotherapy and I guess most doctors know how radiotherapy calls are, stressful! I anticipated a great year ahead even if I knew that there would always be obstacles.

The year went by slowly, one of the highlights in the early part of 2017 was caring for a commissioner’s mother but unfortunately she did not make it she had an advanced disease but her daughter kept calling me to thank me for the care given to her mother, she could recognize me anywhere I was and would shout my name lol. She was impressed by the care given to her mother during her last days and was very grateful for the effort.

The year was passive until I was placed amongst a group of people that do not appreciate your effort no matter what you try to do at work, they always complain, but at the end I kept my head low and because friends with most of them.

Year 2017 taught me that no matter the situation in life , no matter how easy anyone life seems to be, there is alwaysIt. is be, there is always an obstacle, mid 2017 was challenging infact very challenging, but with God I kept moving and smiling despite all. I met an old colleague along the line , who was very inspiring and motivating….he was close to perfection and really helped. Towards the end of the year ,I realized the saying that do not underestimate anyone…lots of important personalities in the field cane to me for one kind of help or the other and I was like small me lol,, with lots of responsibilities but thank God….I was able to do my best and offer what I could. I would add that I also attended lots of colleagues wedding and I missed lots too…that was sad. 2017 I would say was a fair year in general and I hope 2018 would be a much brighter year, full of excellence, joy and achievements.
