Day 13: Tobi

‘You don’t need to be a writer or a poet to let your thoughts known to the world or encourage someone.’

‘You need to come out of your shell, out of your comfort zone because nothing grows there.’

These were my thoughts when I made up my mind to be featured in the 6th edition of Perry’s Tots 31 days 31 voices.

This year has been super amazing and challenging, gooosssh!!!! Indeed God has so many beautiful things in store for us than we can imagine. This year was filled with uncertainties, disappointments, ups and downs but in all, I am grateful to God for everything. I have taken the lessons from my mistakes, and had to be optimistic to scale through the year.

I also obeyed the clarion call, lolllll!😂 It was indeed an interesting, challenging, memorable and unforgettable experience. I was not so happy when I got posted to Delta state after my orientation camp in Kastina state (originally a Borno corper) but never knew God had great plans for me. I became a hybrid corper eventually.🤣🤣 I met and worked with several amazing people, explored places and dishes.

It was a year full of novelty, I performed my 1st caesarean section💪. It really felt so good being the lead surgeon. I also took up a leadership role which I never imagined I could do because of the kind of person that I am; I love being behind the scenes. It was a big deal and a great platform for me. I had the privilege of being a team leader leading a group of people with different personalities, backgrounds, opinions and views. I discovered that managing human resources is really a big task. I realized the need to develop my mental capacity.

As a wise man once said,if you want to be who  you have never been then you have to do those things you have never done.’

I  am on the journey of self-awareness and self-discovery. I aspire to always push the boundaries of my abilities. The world hasn’t seen anything yet. Get ready to see the BEST of me.💃💃💃

Here are some encouraging words that resonates with me:

● Always maintain a healthy mental state.

● Engage in positive thinking; your level of success stems from that.

● Letting go of your pasts enables you to see what lies ahead of you.

● Do not compare yourself with anyone because we all have different pathways. Discover YOU….Be yourself, everyone else is already taken.

The future indeed belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. Keep dreaming. Keep achieving those goals. Keep thriving.

I wish everyone the best God has in store for our lives and a remarkable  2019 ahead!
