God Said…But…

Hello fam, trust you’re doing awesometastic! I want to share from what the Holyspirit opened my eyes to recently.

There’s this particular promise God made to me but the way it’s been for the past few months is, one day I’m hyped about the possibility then the next I’m like, how will He do it.

The Holyspirit took me to Luke 8: 11-15. It highlights four types of people and how they respond to God’s word/promise to them.

The first group hear the promise but don’t believe it.

The second group hear the promise, receive it with joy, believe for a while and let it go when temptations come.

The third group hear the promise but too quickly it is crowded out by the pressure of daily living, pleasures of the world etc.

The fourth group hear the promise, cling to it and wait patiently for the manifestation of the promise.

““This story is about some of those people. The seed is the Word of God. The seeds on the road are those who hear the Word, but no sooner do they hear it than the Devil snatches it from them so they won’t believe and be saved.

“The seeds in the gravel are those who hear with enthusiasm, but the enthusiasm doesn’t go very deep. It’s only another fad, and the moment there’s trouble it’s gone. “And the seed that fell in the weeds—well, these are the ones who hear, but then the seed is crowded out and nothing comes of it as they go about their lives worrying about tomorrow, making money, and having fun. “But the seed in the good earth—these are the good-hearts who seize the Word and hold on no matter what, sticking with it until there’s a harvest.”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭8:11-15‬ ‭MSG‬‬

This really made me take a few steps back to evaluate myself and identify which group I belong. Although God gives some promises that our mind can’t contain, we’re to hold on to it regardless because He does not lie and He knew the facts of the situation before He decided to make the pledge.

Whenever doubts want to crowd God’s promise to me, I go to my memory store to reflect on my experiences at the beach and flying. See how huge the beach is, whoever created that can do anything! While flying, see how beautiful the cloud is, see the sky! If the creator can’t fulfill His promises to me, nobody can!

So what do I do now?

I focus on God and not the facts, I remember the times He came true for me when I had lost all hope. I remember how He has blown my mind time and time again. While reminiscing, I just burst into praise and prayer, this takes away all the weight and pressure. This makes me surrender at the cross and then I can receive further instructions concerning the promise or gain more perspective concerning the situation.

Is this not what God wants? That everything we encounter on earth bring us to the end of ourselves but closer to Him.

Living a life of total surrender can be scary but it gives peace and rest. God is my sugar daddy.😂 He takes good care of me, why should I form Ms Independent for God. He loves to see us vulnerable and coming to Him for support always. He is a Jealous Lover.

So whatever God has promised you that you’ve crossed out or you doubt thinking maybe it’s me not God that said it, drop it and focus on the One who made the promise instead.

If you’re tired of holding on, read this.

All My Love,

Perry.💛
